Something weird is going on.... very long... need input
Technically I was due yesterday; my periods are irregular. So I am due for Af anywere between Friday and Monday.
Anyway - I took a Dollar Tree hpt Friday and Sat morning with FMU - negatives. So I was looking up the accuracy of the New Choice / Dollar tree hpts and saw that I *might* have been using them wrong.
The directions say that the control line should show up between 1-3 minutes and that the test is void after 10 minutes.
So I have been chucking them away as soon as the control line came up thinking I was doing it right. So STUPIDLY I checked the garbage way after the 10 minute mark and there was a faint second line. DH and I kinda looked at each other and I tried to explain to him that it was probably not true - an evaporation line, etc. So we left it at that, went out, and drank a carafe of wine during lunch!
SOOOO... this morning I took another Dollar Tree hpt, set the oven timer for 7-8 minutes and went to look at it after the extended period of time and saw a very faint second line.
Now I don't know if what I am doing test-wise is technically correct so can u guys help me out?
I am going to test tomorrow morning again with my LAST dollar tree test. If I see the second line again, I'll go buy an expensive test.

I would go buy a brand name NOW and check it out!! Or do another dollar tree and check it after 3-4 minutes, not 7-8 minutes!! I think it's sounding good, but I would try another brand!! Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If your late you don't need FMU...also just wait a few hours and then test. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even though I am dying to, I am going to wait til tomorrow morning.
I am alone all day b/c of stupid football so I don't want to read the results by myself.

I wouldn't trust the first one. I have had so many evap lines with dollar tree tests and I won't use them anymore. THose lines come up so fast on them.
BUT..... The second one sounds promising. GOOD LUCK AND KEEP US POSTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

did you test again this morning? maybe a first response would be more accurate. they are $ but detect up to 4 days before your period. good luck
