Something Wrong W/ My Pugs Eye!!
My DH and I just realized late last night that Maggie, our pug, has one eye that she is mostly keeping closed...she opens it wide if you get her attention for something but for the most part she is keeping it shut or at least squinting. I called the vet this morning when I got to work and they told me to get her in asap b/c you don't want to mess w/ a pugs eyes but the earliest we can get her in is 6pm tonight b/c of our schedules. I am so worried and I hope we are not being neglectful by waiting until this evening....I work all the way in Lake Success and live in commack and have zero flexibility w/ my job :(
Is anyone familiar w/ pugs and their eye problems? I know they are supposed to be particularly sensitive b/c they protrude....

Re: Something Wrong W/ My Pugs Eye!!
My SIL has a pug. His eye does this every once in a while. She holds a warm compress on his eye for a little while, and eventually he is fine. I definately would take her to the vet though, that is something you dn't want to mess with on a Pug. But, I wouldn't worry too much if you can't get there until after work. for Maggie. I am sure she is fine.

Thanks Lucky's Mom....reading this made me feel a little better... I hope it's nothing...I was reading on the internet before that they can go blind etc.....so I hope it's nothing big....I read that they are sometimes prone to allergies....and I saw her nose was a little runny....thanks for the support
