Sometimes being pregnant is one big anxiety attack...sigh...UPDATE

My DH and I were laying around last night and I said I couldn't believe I'd be 9 weeks tomorrow (today)...then we discussed how it's such a mystery what's going on between visits in the beginning, etc. and maybe it's best not to dwell on the "what ifs..."

So I fell asleep on the couch, woke up to go to bed, went to the bathroom and...blood in the underwear. Chat Icon Now, it was a bit more than spotting, but not like a period. Wiped several times and it was mostly brown, but some red. No other cramping, etc.

I called the doctor this morning and she didn't seem worried as I had just had a great sonogram 10 days ago. She told me to come in on Monday and we'd check it out.

Meanwhile here I am like..."Suddenly my boobs don't seem sore; Wasn't I hungrier yesterday; Wait, was that cramping; OMG, did my miscarriage start the same way?"

Sigh...........

UPDATE:

Saw the doctor this morning. Baby is fine and measuring right on target--and what a BIG difference between my last visit (7wks4days) to today (9wks2days)!!

Anyway, my doctor is super-neurotic and wasn't like, "Hey you're fine!" She was more like, "Everything looks great, but anything can still happen if there's a problem chromosomally..." It's a good think I'm the least neurotic person ever. Chat Icon She also drew blood for a progesterone check and set me up for another sono for two weeks.

The bottom line is that we don't know what caused the bleeding/spotting. But meanwhile, she told me, "NO gym and NO sex!!" I'm like, "Yeah, I don't think any of that's going to be a problem." Chat Icon

Thanks girls!!

I'm sure everything is fine.
But I totally know what you mean.
I hated the 1st trimester because I was so aware of everything that could happen to the baby during that time (not to mention I felt like crap all the time).

I had bleeding too, but turned out to be old blood.

Good luck on Monday! Chat Icon Chat Icon

The beginning is horrific...the weeks between appointments take forever and it causes so much anxiety. Hang in there! I'm sure everything is okay Chat Icon Chat Icon

I know how you feel. I posted last week that I was bleeding too. I was 12w and just had my Ultrascreen the day before.

The baby was fine, but the blood freaked me out. Also, I had a MC before and I was am still so nervous.

I worry about it everytime I use the bathroom or anytime I have a little cramp.

How much are you bleeding? Are you still bleeding? As long as you are not soaking through pads and there are not a lot of clots, you should be fine.

My Dr. gave me no explanation as to why I was bleeding, but it left me a mess.
They suggested no sex, no heavy lifting and to rest.
Good Luck! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon It is really scary early on. I remember checking every time I went to the bathroom for blood in the undies or when I wiped. I had some bleeding early on the doctor wasn't concerned either. Good luck Monday Chat Icon Chat Icon
