somewhat home-related: musty car interior
we went away and i apparently left a window open while it rained all week. my car now smells like dirty sneakers. it's awesome any advice for getting the stink out?

you might have to pull up the rug and just dry it out with towels or fans. This happend to me once, the insulation under the carpet was saturated like a sponge - took about a week to air out completely. Spray some febreze...

You should try what was mentioned about about pulling the carpet up. To do this you need to remove the seats and pull some of the interior up too. That is the best way to do it so you dont grow mold under the rugs. You can also try the damp rid powders that ACE home depot or lowes sells. It will absorb the moisture in the air

The only way to probably do it ffor sure is to remove the cfarpet. The same thing happened to my neighbor, her car still smells.
