So...my hubby threw me a surprise party last night...need some advice....
So, he threw me a bday party at a local restaurant/bar. We go there all the time and love the food and the people, so he decided to do the party there. He did a cocktail hour party that had an open bar and was supposed to include appys, caesar salad, penne ala vodka and dinner rolls, plus he added on a fruit and cheese platter. We get there, and the fruit and cheese platter is out. It's huge and beautiful and delish. Great. They bring out the pasta and everyone takes some, but no one seems to be eating it. My mom comes over to tell me and JT that there's something wrong with the pasta. Everyone else starts to complain that it takes like it has "chemicals" in it. JT and I had been mingling, so we didn't try it. JT tries and it's gross. Absolutely wretched. He complains to the waiter and he removes the tray. He comes back and tells us that the manager tried it and agreed that it tasted like something was wrong. So he offers us appetizers in place of the pasta. JT agrees. The night goes on, etc., and we get home and I tell JT that I'm hungry because I never got to eat anything. It's then that we realized that they never put out the salad or the rolls, and the appetizers that they "offered us in place of the pasta" were supposed to be served anyway. JT was charge full price for the party and no manager came to apologize for the pasta incident. So here's my question....should he go down there today to complain and talk to a manager, or do we just let it go because we should have realized at the time that the food was missing? I mean, I had no idea until after the party that food was missing because it was all a surprise and everyone was just drinking and having a good time anyway. We're conflicted....

I would say something. Just let them know that you didn't want to make a scene during the party and thought it would be best to wait until today.
It doesnt hurt to atleast try.

Definately say something.... its easy enough to say you got caught up in the night and you started talking to guests today and realized the food never came out

Ok, so my hubby just went down there and got the contact info for the general manager because he's so beyond angry. He's going to get in touch with him and see what happens.

Definitely say something. You paid for a service and you didn't receive it.
