Sono and gender question

At my 16 week scan...long time ago! The tech kept the image of the babies legs and butt up for a few minutes...after the few minutes all of a sudden I saw a huge triangle between the legs. Of course when I saw the triangle I ought boy...though it was really big, but then I also got to thinking, wouldn't I have seen something all along sticking out from this view?

Any opinions?

Maybe it was part of the cord? When I went for a gender determination scan around 16 weeks the tech wasn't able to tell us our babys gender for definite. Sometimes she would say she thought it was a girl but then there would be something between the legs that made her thInk maybe it's a boy. She said it can be difficult to determine whether it's the cord or a boy sometimes. Then at my 20 week sono we found out our baby is defInitely a girl so I guess what we were seeIng at the earlier sono must have been the cord.
