Sony Reader vs. Kindle
Does anyone have either the Sony Reader or Kindle? I'm thinking of purchasing either one for my daugther for Christmas because she is such a HUGE reader. I've been researching both but can't decide which one.
If you have either one, do you like it or do you miss holding an acutal book? How much does it cost to download a book? And also, whicrh has a greater selection -- particularly young adult books?
TIA

call your local library about ebooks that you download for a short amount of time.

Re: Sony Reader vs. Kindle
With a Kindle you can download books from where ever you are. I have one and take the train to work. So when I am done with one book in the middle of my commute I can log on to amazon and download another one immediately right from my Kindle. The sony read doesn't do that
Also the Kindle looks like a real page of a book. There is no back light.
The sony reader from what I understand is like reading a computer screen.
I have had my kindle for two years and love it. I am an English teacher so I understand the love of books but you don't even realize that you aren't reading from a real book
ETA: Prices vary base on whether they are new releases.
As for young adult books you can go on to amazon and see what is available. I've never had a problem finding books.

Re: Sony Reader vs. Kindle
I have the Kindle 2 and I absolutely love it!! My co-worker has the Sony reader and after playing with my Kindle, he was jealous.
