SOOOO anxious about my DH's "test" this morning.
So, my DH had an appt. for the sperm analysis this morning. He was going to collect the "sample" at home and drive it over to the hospital...which is about 15 min. away. In fact, I saw his car drive away this morning and then he called me a few minutes later while getting off at the exit.
That's when it fell apart...he was in gridlock on the LIE/Lakeville Rd. service road for quite a while. Then, when he finally got to the place, he went nuts finding the exact location of the lab--had to go to like three different rooms. Meanwhile, the clock is ticking. When he actually found the place, he got the sample in barely under an hour--it was probably like 55 min. The nurse (or whoever) told him it was OK as long as the sample was less than 90 min. old. But still...
I am so petrified that there's going to be something wrong with the sample and they're going to want DH to repeat the test. He would absolutely FREAK! He was freaking on me on the phone while he was driving back to work. Poor guy has a lot of anxiety issues surrounding this whole ordeal.
Please send good thoughts that this all worked out as it should have!
ETA: and the traffic was caused because they were putting up a new freakin' street light...UGH! Of all days!!!

sending good vibes your way and praying that everything goes ok with the SA.
Poor guy, he sounds like my DH, he would have had the same reaction

Re: SOOOO anxious about my DH's "test" this morning.
I hope everything is fine. Just a word of advice........don't freak out if the SA comes back with a not great result. The first time DH ever did a SA we had to transport it over an hour and the results were a complete disaster. We re-did the SA and this time we went to the place and he gave the sample there and everything was perfect! Thank god!! So just on the outside chance the results are not great just ask for a re-test. Hopefully you won't need to though.
