Soooooooo happy!
My dad had heart surgery in April, has been living with us since February (putting a little bit of a damper on our TTC efforts  ) - since the surgery he's been in my home, with a 12-hour aide. Needless to say, we have no privacy whatsoever, and it's getting really difficult to tend to ourselves, our spirited little monkey, and my father, but we've been managing.
It looks like my Dad is in fairly good shape now, and I was thinking of broaching the "when do you think you want to start looking at senior communities" conversation soon, but I was scared - didn't want to rush him or make him feel alienated.
So, last night, driving him back from Dialysis, he told me, he thinks he'll need the aide for another month and then he feels he'll be ready to move out.
So, next week I'm making appointments to go look at the communities in the Philly area - there's finally an end in sight to all this madness!!
