was horrible. I thought my cable went out also. We watched with with my whole family and we were all dumb founded. I think there may be more episodes.

i thought my cable went out too! Definitely strange ending. I think they left it that way so that they could do a movie down the road. Thats what i heard anyway..
Why did they focus so much on Meadow parking her car?

My friends idea about it..
Everything is resolved.
Tony is going to be indicted.
Meadow is getting married and becoming a lawyer.
AJ is a shallow prick again.
Paulie is going to run things with Tony in jail.
Patsy is going to be consigliere
Butchy will run NY
When the FBI guy said "we won" it meant they got Tony.
Tony ended it with the most important thing in his life, his family.
Now he's going down.
I am mystified by this finale. I keep thinking of more.....
-What is life like right now for all of us? Everything can be crazy for a time and then back to somewhat normal and BAM.....9/11 happens and EVERYTHING STOPS. Right?
-Life goes on. "Don't Stop"....things will just continue for all of them. That's life folks. Sometimes something insane happens like your cousin gets "killed" in a car accident, your Aunts/Sisters husband "gets shot" and dies......but what happens after that? Maybe NOTHING. We sit around at funerals talking about American Idol......we are shallow superficial assholes.

We thought the same thing. 
the only conclusion that we came to is that life was back to normal for them and tony is now the boss of everyone. I think they were aiming to "leave it up to us" to determine what the ending was..but I agree it totally stunk!!

I think Adriana was the cat also.. she was constinetly staring at Christophers picture. and Tony was always haunted by it.
I did hear their may be a movie in the future but who knows.. i sure am disapointed!

My hubby has thhis theiory that Tony is dead...if you rememeber from one of the other episondes they talked about how bad it was to get shot, you never see it coming, dont hear it, then everything just goes black...i dont know he thinks he is dead!!!

I liked how the show ended now. I kept thinking about it and I can see now why they decided to end it that way. It just makes sense to give the audience their own interpretation. It's just most of us were expecting some sort of a blood bath. The song he decided to play Don’t Stop Believin’ to me is a hopeful song where I can see the “life goes on” attitude.
The guy that went into the men’s bathroom totally brought me back to the Godfather when Michael went in to get the gun. Tony never paid attention to him because if you can remember the guy walked in the same time his son walked in so it’s not like he gave that guy a second thought. Waiting for Meadow distracts him and he’s constantly looking to see who’s coming in the restaurant. Once she came in all eyes were on her. She could have been the last thing he sees, the purest person in his life. That’s why she was important to make her a big part of the ending.
I’m going to watch it again tonight.
