Sorry for the repost - pets related - I found a ferret!!!!
I need help - I don't know who to call in case she is lost the whole story is on pets board....

Ack! Did you post on Craigslist? Put up signs??
We used to have ferrets in your apartment! They nip so keep him/her away from Cailen unless you're holding it well.

Thats the thing - she isn't nipping at all - Cailen wound up carrying her around - he loved her.... We washed him after it, but he was so curious when I was holding her.....

AFC - I called them - waiting for the call back - I was involved with them a long time ago!!!
She is stinking up our house! But she is soo cute!!

going to say i have to agree. You don't know anything about this animal or the owners
It may not have nipped yet but that doesn't mean it won't!
Just be on the safe side. You don't want a trip to the ped or worse if it isn't necessary

We are sending her to Commack emergency vet tomorrow.... Even under stress she has been truly an angel. I want her to have one night of being in a secure place before putting her through the stress of being somewhere new again. She is very special....

Weird...my sister left her back door open for about 15 minutes and turned around to find a ferret in her house as well! Came from nowhere. She never found where he came from but a coworker adopted him.
