sorry girls so late - friday qotd
before you ttc how many months did you think it would take to get a bfp compared to how many months you have now
this is our 2nd month - first month "really trying" and i thought i would get a bfp right away
on a side note there is a lot of bad stuff going on with my family right now - can you girls say a little prayer for me? thanks

Let's put it this way, I never thought in a million years I would still be here last July. I figured at this point I would be obsessing over which Halloween costume to buy my LO. You just never know.

this is our 1st month trying.. and while i sit here at 8dpo and kinda just "know" this isnt it.. .im disapointed.. with abby it happend 1-2-3 barely even trying!

this is my first month trying but we winged it...i didnt do any opks or temping, etc.
honestly, i have always felt like it will take me a long time to get preggers...Idk why?! I have no reason to think that because I have never been told that by a Dr or don't have any issues that I know of...but I have always just had this feeling I would have a hard time getting pregnant. Hopefully I am wrong!!

I thought it would be much quicker since it didn't take very long with DS. Though here I am at the end of our 3rd cycle of seriously TTC and I am guessing I will probably be here for a 4th

First, for you and your family. Hope everything is okay.
This is our 2nd month (3rd cycle) and I thought we would have conceived by our 3rd month. I had no problems getting pregnant before. I'm not out yet, but i tested this morning (12DPO) with CBE and got a BFN, so I'm figuring i'm out for this month.
It's okay for now - June is a beautiful month to have a baby too!! But if I dont conceive next month either, I'm going to start to get a little bummed...

well we didnt really TRY this month... i mean we only had sex once while i was o'ing...
I cant fully answer the question... although... i always think in the back of my mind that i wont be able to get a bfp ever!

ITA - I thought I'd be on maternity leave for the year. When we started, I thought it would happen right away. That's how everyone else I knew got PG. I didn't know much about TTC before starting. I've lost count at what month this is, I think 14 or 15.

Never in a million years would I have thought it would take this long. We are now at the 2 year mark and we have been under DR's care for about 6 months now. So not sure if the other months count as really trying. So now we are schedule for 2 IUI's this weekend, so I hope that we put this TTC behind us and just enjoy being pregnant. I am sure a lot of the women on here feell the same. All we can do is stay positive and things will fall into place.

Having lurked on the site for a while, I worried that it would take a while. I figured anywhere from two months to a year. Of course now that we're trying, I have thought every month should be it! Just starting our third month of trying.

I still have to find out about a wedding I may be in before we start trying. If things work out we will start trying right after AF leaves me, just got her last night .
So we will see what happens next month.

this is our 3rd month trying. i unfortunately was/am afraid that we would have to ttc for a while... i have ovarian cysts pretty bad and my mom had a very hard time conceiving.. so im keeping my fingers crossed that we get a bfp this month- im in my 2ww now! ill be disappointed but not surprised if it doesnt happen

I always thought it would take around 3 months. I am starting my 4th month post M/C. I never ever thought I would have a M/C. I just want a BFP by December so if not I will be TTC for 9 months by then. I started TTC the first time last summer and got a BFP in Jan but we didnt try hard every single month.
I hope your family is ok!

I knew going in that I had PCOS and that it may take a bit. I didn't think I still wouldn't be pregnant after 11months. And I certainly never imagined that I would go through IVF only to have it not work.

I've always had a "feeling" that it would take a while. This has pushed me to have the talk with DH about starting and he has finally "come around" (no pun intended  ) and warmed up to the idea.
I am hoping to prove myself wrong...

I always knew it would be bit of a wacky road for us since I knew about my fertility problems since I was 13 or so.. I never could have predicted our late loss though As for my next cycle back with the RE, I am it happens in the first 3 months!!
I really don't have any predictions for what will be ... I kind of lost stock in my predictions since I learned the hard way that you just never know what will be.
