BUT here is the kicker- they DONT sell the nipples to go with them "yet". so we tried the dr brown nipples- nope leaked all over. So we called Simiilac- the cans are discontinued and they are in process of producing the nipples.

pretty much they are like the ones we got at the hospital only the bottles are 8 ounces instead of 2.

so question is anyone use them and find a nipple that works?

I know. I was so ******. I went everywhere to get the cans. I stocked up and bought 10 cases. My DD will only be on formula for another 4 months. I'm one of those scared moms and I don't like things in plastic (I'm know I'm insane). When I used the ones from the hospital they told me the even flow rings worked. You can try that.

I wonder why they discontinued the cans. I guess for convenience.

Good Luck!! Chat Icon

I bet its a $$$ issue- now they are going to sell the nipples separate so they make more money.

i pour them into a sterilized bottle it completly does away with the need for another nipple. i have always done it this way.

I have to say, I may be in the monority here, but I like it! When you are out and about, it makes it SOOOO Much easier. You don't have to worry about bringing steralized bottles with you everywhere.

Don't get me wrong, I still schlep 3 empty bottles, powdered formula and 3 bottles of Poland Springs for even a trip to the grocery store but you get my idea!

If anyone wants the cans - I just returned 14 boxes to the BRU in Massapequa yesterday. My cousin gets me the cans from her job and I return them for the Quarts bc I like them better.

I'll let you girls know when I do my next return if you want. Chat Icon
