Sorry TMI -late third trimester ladies

I'm 37w3d and I have been having really loose bowel movements/diarehha (sp?) for over a week. Seems like anything I eat goes right through me.

I spoke to my doctor and he said could be a yogurt (yo plus) I had just started eating, too much dairy, hormones etc.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced or is experiencing this. Some people say this means labor is close!!

It hasn't happened to me yet, but I am a few weeks behind you (33.5 weeks).
I did hear that it may be a sign of labor coming though!

We are due two days apart and I have been having a similiar experience lately. My Dr. said it was normal and happens to some women. It's funny because I went from constipated to extremely loose in like a day...

Same here! I feel like as soon as the clock hits between 4-6 p.m. and BAM! Just worried about getting dehydrated!

I upped my water intake a little just in case but I was already drinking a ton of water.

I have that too. I think it's because everything is compacted that there is not a lot of room that things just have to come out. I know ther e is another girl pg at my job due the week after and she is having them same experience.

I have heard several times that your body does this before labor. I gave birth one day shy of 37 weeks. I did not have the lose bowels but 37 weeks is considered full term. so be ready to go. you never know

I'm 38 weeks and I have been going to the bathroom non-stop (both #1 and #2).

I figured maybe this was my body's way of cleansing itself? Or is the baby just pushing on my intestines a little more?

well i'm in my 1st trimester and i've been having weird gas and bowel problems/movements at times. sometimes i feel like a smelly man.

I've heard that your body does start to cleanse itself and get ready for labor! I hope I get what you have - that could mean no pooping on the table when you're pushing!

i've been having this on and off for some weeks now. i just attributed it to body getting ready for labor.

I have been getting it too for the last few days. I will be 32 weeks on Monday. This is the 3rd baby, I can just see me walking around at work and BAM it happens. I will be on the fastest train moving from Penn Station to Manhassett. ( I work in Penn, all my co-workers are like, "Don't go breaking your water here") Then would have to find my husband (a conductor) somewhere on LI. It would be a wild experience. I think I will email my reg doc tonight and see what he says. I have an appt on wed. but it is with someone else in the practice. I dont want to deliver early, I dont have a thing ! not even an undershirt.

I'm 35 weeks and have loose bowls on and off too. I kept hearing of all the constipation during pregnancy... luckily I never had that issue... however, I had some loose stool with cramps the other day. That stunk but fortunately it past. I'm not used to not running right for the Immodium, but obviously didn't want to take anything.

I had 18 days of that mess, i had some virus and got really dehydrated from it since i literally couldnt drink anything without it running through me the first week! It happened when i was about 25 weeks preg. though. Just stay hydrated and I was told to drink pedialyte and activia yogurt too after i did the BRAT diet (Bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast).
