Sorry, WR: How long to defrost the cake?

Our anniversary is next Saturday. Just wondering when we should take the cake out? Do we leave it out in the open or stick it in the fridge until we eat it?

Thanks for your help!

I think we put it in the fridge 3 days before. It was nasty anyway. Chat Icon Freezer burn!

I put mine in the fridge for 2 days- it was perfect

( I had to eat mine early b/c my Dad sold his house- and I lost my storage space)

We'll be away for our anniversary on Monday, but I plan to take out my cake next Friday afternoon when we get home and eat it next Sunday.

I didn't put it in the fridge at all. I took it out in the morning and it was defrosted by the evening. It was actually pretty good too!

Re: Sorry, WR: How long to defrost the cake?

I heard it could get nasty after defrosting so we actually ate ours frozen. It sat out during dinner and was good....almost like an ice cream cake without the ice cream!!
