Those that chose to start at age 2-2.5 vs 3-4---how did you know they were ready for preschool? ETA I am starting to look at 2.5 year programs for DS and am really unsure if he is ready

I really didnt know....But with two babies on the way, I felt he needed to learn some structure, sharing, and have something of his own ya know? I wouldnt do full time though at 2.5. And Noah has a speech delay so he is in a speech based program....And They are gradual seperation for kids that young. It took us 4 sessions ( classes) till he was fine...I imagined it taking much longer...No he practically runs in there. and i never expected that at all, so I dont know if you can "know"...since my expectations were that it would be MUCH harder then it actually was. But Noah is the type to really like learning and listens to instructions well..I knew that much and knew school type activities would interest him enough to have a "lure" kwim?
