Sorta Spinoff to my post on Travel

So-- I just got my new passport today and they send back your old one, with the extra pic stapled to your old passport. So I see myself side by side: 10 years older and 10 years younger. Honestly- if I showed someone the pics-- I don't think they would see much of a difference (age wise).

I said to DH-- that must be the most interesting part about working on passports-- getting to see how people age. He didn't think it was that interesting-- but I do!

What do you guys think about that.. and do you feel you have aged a lot in the past 10 years?? What do you think you will look like 10 years from now??

face wise I think I look the same from 10 years ago - minus about 5 pounds of eyebrows Chat Icon

In 10 yrs from now I hope I don't change too much, I'll probably have shorter hair though

I got my first passport at 25. I renewed it a few years ago and boy did I age! But five years after that now, I think I look better.

I looked so young at 25.

I think it's pretty cool to see how people aged. Not me though.

I've aged & it hasn't been gracefully.

eta.
10 years from now, I'm going to have a lot of wrinkles. That part I'm ok with because I think it's amazing to see a person's life in their face. The gravity part, I'm not thrilled about.

here too! at 15 i had not perfected the art of plucking/having my brows waxed! looking at my picture i was thinking HOW did no one tell me to get them done!?

so my latest passport looks much better i think...plus my face became thinner, though i gained a little weight overall.

i have definitely aged a lot in 10 yrs.. going from 27-37 made a huge difference in my looks .. my face changed, my hair is greyer (though I color it) I have more of a mushy body .. it ain't pretty Chat Icon

I really do dread 10 yrs from now Chat Icon

my eyebrows in my pic from 10 years ago are like non-existent! I think that was the look back then... Then again, I remember getting high and tweezing my brows in college... Um, big no no-- concentrated way too much on each individual hair!

Ten years ago, I was 23 years old and looked damn good! I think I peaked at 25-26 (looked my best) - and it's been downhill from there - the 30's have not been kindChat Icon

My face has definitely matured in the past 10 years. I've also put on about 10 pounds. I look like a baby in my previous passport photo.

I feel more attractive and a lot healthier than I was 10 years ago. I look my age and I am fine with that.

Re: Sorta Spinoff to my post on Travel

I have certainly aged in the past 10 years, but not in a way that bothers me. I have always looked young for my age. 10 years ago, at age 17, I looked about 14. Now at age 27, I get told that I look 21 at the most. I'm hoping that when I'm 37, people think I'm 30!

Re: Sorta Spinoff to my post on Travel

first passport was at age 18, second was at age 27

at 18 i was about 15 lbs heavier and no one told me about eyebrow waxing

my 27 y.o. shot i came back from a 3 martini lunch so my eyes look a little weird but my face is much thinner and eyebrows are defined

OMG I'M READING THIS AND I SEE OTHERS HAD THE EYEBROW PROBLEM! I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER! LOL

goldi, your face looked beautiful in 1998- of course you look wonderful with the weight loss but remember, if you gained weight back, youd still be beautiful. really, your face looks so pretty in that picture.
