S.O.S. send help...
I've been stuck in a house with a 6yr old who is NOT disciplined at all since Dec 23...and I should mention he's teasing my dogs  Thursday we break free...I like Christmases with my family alot better! (just needed to vent before I scream!)

Oooh boy does that strike a nerve with me. I hope Thursday comes quick!!
I was babysitting my nephews a few weeks ago and they were playing nicely with the dogs. Brinkley got tired and laid down and my nephew came over and started poking him with his foot, because he wanted him to keep playing.
I watched him, thinking he'd give up, but then he pulled his foot back pretty far and I lost it and said DON'T YOU DARE! He looked up at me, shocked. And I gave him an earful about how to treat Aunt Tiesha's dogs and put him in a timeout.
I feel bad for dogs in households with children who beat on them! I wouldn't hesitate to say something to the kids if I were you, maybe in a nicer way that I did.

DH yelled in his "Angry Uncle" voice at his nephew once already...and my MIL is good at helping make sure the dogs aren't "tortured" too much...we try to take trips out to the store and stuff for some "away" time...our poor dogs are used to a nice quiet CF house where they can just lay and sleep without anyone running around yelling & stomping...I yell at the kids too but try and stay low key since my SIL can be uptight about stuff...even though I want to scream...DISCIPLINE YOUR FREAKIN KID!!
Only a few more day...
