Source: Bachelor’s Melissa Rycroft to Join Dancing With the Stars
Jilted by Jason Mesnick on the season finale of The Bachelor, Melissa Rycroft will rebound nicely — on Dancing With the Stars, PEOPLE has learned.
Rycroft, 25, is to fill the slot vacated by Access Hollywood host Nancy O’Dell, who had to withdraw from the competition on March 5 due to a knee injury. According to a source close to the production, the Dallas beauty, who has had only days to rehearse, is expected to perform live on Dancing’s Monday premiere.
Girl Next Door Holly Madison is believed to be taking over for singer Jewel, who also withdrew due to injury. Both Jewel and O’Dell have expressed their desire to return to the ballroom in the future.
A spokesperson for ABC declined to comment.

she's the one that was a Dallas Cowboy Dancer/cheerleeder right? DWTS Seems up her alley then.. and she seemed happy on Ellen's show last week and has a new boyfriend (someone she's known a while)

yes people r upset with jason for what he did. but if u wanted to stay away from the limelight, dwts should be the last place she should go. i think she like the attention

i think if she got the opportunity then why not! even if she said earlier she didnt want to be in the spotlight..
thats a great experience to pass up! she seems so over the whole bachelor thing now anways!

I agree. And maybe she's done with the whole Bachelor story but wants to do more in the entertainment field. I think that's why a lot of these men and woman go on these shows anyway. To see "noticed".

I'm fine with her dancing....it won't turn my away from watching the show. In fact, its nice to have another person on there from my generation.
