Re: Spa Castle
I really enjoyed the place but had no idea soooo many women walked around freely completely naked in the locker room. So warning... The sight may bother you lol. There's also a nude section off of the locker room. Overall though, I think ts a great place to enjoy the day for really a pretty good price. Some of the sauna rooms are def an experience worth seeing and the rooftop pools/jacuzzis are awesome!

Re: Spa Castle
I'm sure it's just coincidence, but the one and only time I went there, I got one of THE WORST cold/upper respiratory infection I've ever had. My friend has been a few times and loves it, but I can't get that out of my head and probably won't be back.

Re: Spa Castle
I went there and it was great...the downstairs pool area is a nude area only...its segregated so as long as you are ok seeing other nude women...I would highly recmmend the scrub...your skin will be sooo smooth...the rest of the facility is nice...the sauna's and the upstairs pool is nice...the weekends I know get crazy there so I would go on a weekend if you want to beat the crowd...We spent 4-5hrs there and I would go back.

Re: Spa Castle
As the pp mentioned, as long as you don't have a problem with nudity, it is great! The common area where the baths are and the scrubs are done is all nude but there really isn't anything to feel uncomfortable about. Everyone is just going about their business and no one is sitting there gawking at you or even really giving you a second glance.
You are given a uniform to wear and you'll put that on before going upstairs to the common (coed) area which has a food court, lounge area, and the saunas. On the third floor there are outdoor pools.
I used to go all the time and would highly recommend getting a body scrub. It's a little pricey but oh my God, it's amazing. They exfoliate your skin from head to toe and you are glowing and your skin is so soft afterwards! Nowadays, I prefer going to King Sauna in Ft. Lee over Spa Castle because it's more like the traditional Korean saunas I'm used to.
Enjoy!

Re: Spa Castle
The place is awesome.
We had such a blast there!
Now they even have a bar!!!! Can't wait to go back!
Oh yeah...and the nudity is crazy. Women just walking around bare-azzed...carrying on conversations with each other while completely bare-azzed. It's a riot.
We just grabbed our "gorgeous" sherbet colored uniforms and got out of the locker rooms quickly.
The rooftop pool is amazing, as well as the sauna and refrigerated "caves".

Re: Spa Castle
I only went once but have been wanting to go back. Yes, the nudity is crazy as everyone else mentioned. If you plan on doing a body scrub, you must walk into the common pool area naked & join the other naked ladies.. lol There is no modesty at this spa. We went in the dead of winter & used the rooftop outdoor heated pool. It was amazing! I got a shiatzu massage and they had me keep my orange top & shorts on that they give you when you first walk in. That was a little weird but ok.

I didnt get any extra services when i went and i basically just spent the day trying out all the sauna rooms and rooftop pool/hottub... They have pools indoors where you can just relax and watch the tv above... or theres a bar where you hang out with drinks in the pool... Its very relaxing and you can def spend the whole day there...
I didnt see staff asking if anyone needed anything... I just went around to all the diff areas as I pleased... stopped for lunch there when I got hungry... and then back to relaxing
Men were in the minority but they are there... Ive been wanting to go back with DH since I went with a friend the first time

They have hot sauna rooms in the common area that you can go into as well as an ice room. Every room is made of a different stone (jade, gold, salt, etc) and depending on what material the room is made from, it's supposed to have certain 'healing' or wellness-promoting qualities.
They also have a designated area in the back where you can lay down and nap (on the floor). They have massage chairs like the ones they do at the mall where you pay a few dollars for a 15 min massage. The pools are also free.
If you stay in the locker/shower area (which is nude and women only) they have hot tubs, a steam room, and sauna.
Other than that, everything else you pay for...body/hand/foot massages, body scrub, facials, mani/pedis, etc.
They don't have staff going around asking if you need anything, it's not that kind of spa. They do have water coolers, a juice bar, Starbucks, and a food court type area where you can get sushi and other more Americanized meals (not free).
There are an equal number of men to women I've found. A lot of couples and families go together. The mens/womens areas are totally separate so you don't have to worry about that, and everyone wears uniforms in the common area.
Hope I was able to answer your questions, if you have any other questions, feel free to FM me

Re: Spa Castle
It's so relaxing I would love to go back! I went during the summer got a little crowded w families. My Sister and I went into the scrub area, no issue w nudity except there were some Young kids that I felt funny not wearing anything but they didn't seem to notice. I guess it's normal for them.

You are only separate when you first enter to go into the locker rooms.
