spa rave....Mind & Body in Whitstone
I have been to many spas and I have to say I had a very nice and relaxing time there today
reasonable in terms of pricing- $165 for a seaweed facial and 60 min swedish aroma therpy massge
the best part was- I wasn't given a sales pitch the whole time during the facial
I hate having to fend off a sales pitch for $$$ products while I was trying to relax- and that didn't happen today
I highly recommend in you live in the area

I didn't think there were many places that still do the sales pitch during the facial. They have either eased up on that or I am picking different places now.

The red door- got me for $150 worth of product
Dorit Baxter in NYC-
those are the 2 most reccent ones I can recall
even the hotel spa on vacation in FL - I caved there also- but only b/c my dad said to charge it to the room- me and my sister

Oh, I was just thinking I wanted to check out Red Door but I do not like sales pitches. I have never been there. I am more likely to buy if I have to ask about the products than if they push!!!!

FYI.... technicians of spas are "forced" to sell stuff even if they don't want to. They are pressured to do so and they have a weekly report asking them why they are not selling.
Trust me... I know!!!!!
I personally HATE being sold products so I totally understand.

Oh I know! I hate it myself.
Like I tell DH many times. I wanted a freaking massage. I don't care what creamed they used on me. 
I find resort spas to be much better than regular spas on this point of view.
