Spasms during sleep
My newborn (8 day old) is having spasms in his sleep. Its almost like he is dreaming - anyone experience this with their child? Is this normal?

My DD has little twitches and spasms while sleeping as well, she is 2 weeks today, totally normal as per the ped.

Is he jumping like he was startled? Do his arms come up?
DD did this, it's normal. She would wake herself up so we had to swaddle her nice and tight and it helped.

He just twitches. Sometimes its his whole body, sometimes its his arms. They aren't huge movements. Its crazy how we wonder what is normal and what isn't.......
