Speaking of amazing...
DD has been wakening at 2:30 and babbling.
She has a FP aquarium on the far end of her crib that we have never used. I've never turned it on while she's in the crib or in the room.
Monday night she turned it on (it woke us on the monitor and I was afraid it would wake DS) and was up on her arms/belly watching it. I couldn't believe it. I went in, shut it off, and moved her back to the other side of the crib.
Last night, again. DH went in, same thing. As he leaned over the crib, she looked at him and then she reached up and SHE SHUT IT OFF 
She's 6 months old. After one night she knew. She looked at DH as if to say, "What? Oh, no daddy you must be hearing things... oh, no I wasn't playing the aquarium... don't know what you are talking about."
We are in trouble

 Oh yes you are in trouble. That's awesome that she figured it out. Just kindly ask her to do it during daytime hours next time.

My DS does it in the AM when he's up for the day. If he doesn't and is awake, he'll go back to sleep.
