Wow - if you weren't related and so annoyed with him for so many things, it might be a very entertaining wedding
THAT is true. I promise to bring back oodles of entertaining photos

Re: Speaking of kids at weddings...
WHAT? WHAT? WHAT?
Oh Beth,
Lord knows we have discussed our brothers
but, and I never thought I'd ever say this to anyone,....
HANDS down, yours is worse than mine
OMG and you are right, you can't make this stuff up
My mom and her brother were BORN and raised in Scotland and my uncle did not wear a kilt to my wedding or I think, ever I am PIMP at the thought of this!
He wears one EVERYDAY??
And 55 to 23? Guess he doesn't have a specific type, huh? Unless he dates the mom and then the daughter.
Well, at least yours is marrying her, mine is just breeding with his dingbat Well, I guess the marrying thing isn't always a good idea either.
Oops, woops... did I post that Yes, I said dingbat for any lurkers out there... whatever!
So, do you think our brothers will be on the SAME episode of Dr. Phil?
Hey, I'll make the trip if you make the trip.... BAAAAAAAAHAAAAAA
Many and to you!

Oh, did I forget to mention this is the OTHER brother? I gladly take the award for most f'd up family because that, in turn, makes me, at the very least, the sanest of the bunch!
I think we need to invent a new show called "brother swap"!

UGH, that's right... you have TWO
I know, I feel the same somedays. Compared to my brother, I am the most put together, self-actualized person
I'm not signing up for that show Sometimes the "evil" you know is better than the "evil" you don't know.
It would be priceless to see my DH's face if he ever met your brother and realized he wore a kilt everyday

Well, my dirty little secret is I didn't bother taking it off the tree when we moved to our new house, so unfortunately our little brilliant, evil genius idea won't work.
Now I'm on a mission to think of something even tacker

I don't think you need an excuse either. But you know...kids get sick at the last minute.
Don't even make up an excuse..."I won't be attending because you are a complete and utter a$$" should work just fine

PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!
Though, honestly, I don't think he's deserving of the monogram

Re: Speaking of kids at weddings...
I've been in your position. I did not attend my step-brothers wedding nor did I even send a wedding card...I wanted him to know what it felt like to not be cared about like he did to my (or our ) father for so long...not calling or sending a card for father's day, his birthdays, christmas, when he had an operation, and I can go on and on for YEARS!!! And it worked...he was ******...but ever since than he is trying really hard to have a relationship with not only my father, but with me and my mom.
Sometimes people need a dose of their own medicine. Some people said I was harsh and mean and couldnt believe I did that (it is very out of character for me...I usually am too nice to people). And it was a very hard decision for me...but I felt he hadn't taken any interest in our lives for years, why should we go running to him all of a sudden.

Re: Speaking of kids at weddings...
To give you some insight into the insanity of my family. We are Jewish. My brother spent 2 weeks hiking the scottish highlands. He is 37 and now believes he is Scottish and wears a kilt to work every single day.

Can i tell you a funny story...years ago, I think I may have just gotten out of college, things were so bad with my step-brother and step-sister i called the dr.phil show so we could go on. They wanted us to be their "focus" family for the next season but noone in my family would go on Now looking back, thank god I didnt go on that show!
