Speaking of lovey's.. my Dh won the strangest contest ever yesterday!
Backstory.. we lost lambie for about 24 hours last week. As a joke friend sent us a link to some site that had a contest. Get a painted picture of your child's favorite toy. You had to tell a story about your child's toy.
Sooo Dh tells them the story of Liam losing Lambie.... yup we won.
Bizzaro. I have no idea what we are going to do with this portrait! My Bff, Liam's godmother (Lesse on lif) wants to sneek into his house on his wedding night and hang it over his bed!!
Link to contest
I keep teasing Dh that I am mad at him .I am trying really hard to win two contests and entering like crazy. One is for sesame street live and one is for a pair of shoes a week for a year. I think he killed my contest karma for this picture!! I guess it will be cute to hang in Liam's room though.
Here's an example of the portrait. I guess it could be cute!

You know what it is. We live in the smallest house ever created. We finally carved out some of our living room and built Liam a small (smaller than a walk in closet room). We have zero wall space in there.. so it's like a space issue. I think it's really cute. I just REALLLLLLY wanted to win a pair of shoes per week for a year from Sax!! I also REALLLLLY wanted to talk Liam to Sesame Street live and we just can't afford it so I wanted to win that too! And who has that kind of luck to win two contests in a few weeks!
But, yeah. It is cute! I am sure I will love it. And Liam will go bonkers. He loves looking at pictures that have Lambie in them.

It would be nice to frame his story up with it like a museum piece or put it on the back (I'm sure the artist would do that for you)
You may live in a small house now, but not forever. The lambie will be a long lost memory but portrait will remain and let you think back to this small house, the sacrifices and that little bit of joy and how no matter how tough things are for us adults, our children ALWAYS see the light of life and its joy. They find happiness in everything, including lambie
Shoes are great (and god knows I need even a pair every OTHER month since I only own three pair) but they won't last and have no special memories for you.
Seasame Street could have memories but you can either go later or not, but you can't lose memories you've never had, right? Lambie is already an exisitng memory, one that affects your DC where as a Seasame is just idea but not yet a reality like lambie.
Besides.. ya know what they say. Be happy that you have more today then you did yesterday and don't worry about that you didn't receive.
You didn't "Lose" anything but you gained a great piece of childhood memory.
You're ahead

I know. Really I am not complaining. Why would I complain about winning something? It really was more of me just ribbing Dh about it. Don't worry. I am grateful for everthing that I have and I wasn't counting on winning contests.
