Speaking of toys, what is your DC current fav. toy?
I know we've done this before, but I'm kind of clueless in the toy department. Ava's birthday party is in a couple of weeks and people keep asking me what she wants. My mom and dad bought her this ginormous, deluxe play kitchen that she will get to play with for the first time tomorrow when we move, and also my aunt bought her the little tikes Dora car (which she LOVES!), but other than that, I have no clue what to tell people to buy her. So, I'm looking for inspiration!

Ryan loves any Little People toy made by Fisher Price. He has the airplane and the firetruck. THey play music and sounds and he loves them. He also loves his blocks.

Re: Speaking of toys, what is your DC current fav. toy?
Alex isn't much of a toy-girl - she gets bored easily, so I'm always looking for things for her to do outside. Maybe an outdoor swing? A little slide? A sandbox? Or, how about you start an arts and crafts collection? I just spent almost $150 at target last weekend picking up sidewalk chalk, paint, stickers, paper, glitter, play-doh etc. Everything under the sun for a rainy day.
And, if all else fails, Alex is just in LOOOOVE with the little stroller that daddy bought her. She packs up her sidewalk chalk, puts it in the stroller, and strolls up and down the street, drawing on the street as she goes along.

At the current moment his favorite toy(s) is tupperware, dishtowels, stacking cans of dog food, and basically rearranging all my picture frames. He's not interested in conventional toys..

This is definitely going to be Ava. I'm beginning to notice that she has no interest in all the things I buy her, but she really does like to pretend. None of that stacking, putting shapes type stuff, she's not interested. She does have a little microphone that she sings into, but that's about it that peaks her interest.

I just bought a bunch of stuff for the bath for a birthday party tomorrow. Finger soap paints, a fishing pole, etc.

Other than pulling everything out of every drawer in the house, Marron loves to push her little doll stroller all over the house. Sometimes it has a doll in it, other times it has her shoes, or my spices, or her ball...you get the picture.
