special ed certification requirements

I am having trouble understanding the NYS website. I have certification in elem and reading and a masters in reading. Can anyone tell me what my requirements would be to obtain certification in special ed? I know the CST is required, but as far as coursework? Thank you.

If you call Dowling and ask for Stacey in the Education Dept, she's EXTREMELY knowledgeable and VERY helpful and sweet

she has an email also, FM me for her email. She's awesome. she's sent me bulleted emails with details of what I need to do, and answers any and all questions as confusing or silly as they may be.

Thanks to her advice/knowledge, I took 4 classes (After my masters) and got TWO certifications, inst of just 1 that I was going for.

(I was going for only Special ed, and these classes got me also early Ed, thanks to an elective she told me to choose.)
