Special Instruction EI
What kinds of activities do they do with your DC? What kinds of toys, games, etc. do they recommend? DS is 2 and I am trying to find some age appropriate toys that will be good for him.

Re: Special Instruction EI
It depends!
We work on things for fine motor skills, playskills, etc..
It also depends on what your DS likes to do.
What are the "goals"?

Re: Special Instruction EI
It really depends on your child. Your teachers should be able to recommend some good toys to play with at home. I wouldn't be to concerned about the ages that are listed on the toys though. We have games that DD plays (matching, board games) which are 3+ and she also was using shape sorters and ball banging games that were 6 months +. It really depends on the strenghts and weaknesses of your child.
We did buy alot of stuff from www.beyondplay.com They have some awesome stuff there.

With Ryan, she focused on blocks, play food, puzzles, picture books, watercolor paints,... things to build his attention, practice taking turns, listening to direction, and to help him accomplish a task. He had a hard time then with playing appropriately with toys at all.

Re: Special Instruction EI
It really depends on the child's needs.
When we first started she did puzzles, picture books, flash cards, etc...
Now we mostly go to stores, the park, or the mall. She also goes to camp with him. We are working mostly on behavior. The funny thing, he is a perfect angel for her everywhere, it's me he's a beast for.
