Special preschools

Hi everyone! I am trying to get a head start on the special ed preschool process and was wondering what you could tell me about the following schools (good, bad, etc.):

Brookville Center for Children's Services
Marcus Avenue
Barbara C Wilson
Hebrew Academy for Special Children (HASC)
Hagedorn Little Village

Please post here or FM me any information, opinions, rumors, etc. Thanks!

Re: Special preschools

While looking for a preschool for my son, I got to go and meet some of the staff at the Marcus Avenue school. They were very hands on and had small classes( think it was something like 8:1:2 assistants. Very state of the art and the director was very helpful. Def recommend going to meet them.

Special preschools

we visited BCW but AJ didnt get into the school, they didnt have an appropriate spot for him

i cannot rave enough about LV, but on the flip side we turned down the spot because we felt it wasnt a right fit for him.

we were going to look at HASC but for us it was too far, but it is an excellent school and if i was to compare i would say it is high up there like LV.

my cousin works at HASC so if you have a specific question let me know.

the school we chose for AJ was BOCES CRC. and the results were fantastic.

Re: Special preschools

LV is a fabulous school. DS attended their EI program last year and would have continued their for preschool if I didn't get a spot at DDI. I just felt that for my DS, DDI was a more appropriate spot fitted for his needs. I also visited BCW and was very impressed with their staff, program, and how hands on they were. They were def on my list also.
