spent all of yesterday in the emergency room
so... my morning sickness seemed to really peak a few days ago and i wasn't able to eat or drink much of anything. went to my ob, who took urine and sent me straight to the ER.
i needed 4 liters of fluid just to get to the point where i was peeing
more than anything, i am a little freaked out that i got so dehydrated so quickly.
the good news is - haven't vomited in the last 2 days and today i was able to drink 20oz, plus a liter of IV fluid (the ER doc was nice enough to leave my IV in so i could treat myself at home).
does anyone know - does m/s *really* come and go like that? could that have been the worst of it?

Mine has come and gone since week 6 and now I am at week 26.
I feel for you. Its no fun at all.
How long will you leave the IV in for?
I was there the other day , same thing..took 5 bags for me to pee.
We have to make sure we dont get to that point.
Right now I drink TONS of gatorade. If you can keep it down its great for staying hydrated. I cannot tolerate water at all. It comes back up.
I wish I had better advice, but I hope it passes for you.

but there are days when you feel completely fine... right?
what i'm REALLY worried about is the prospect of feeling sick ALL the time - because for the days leading up to the ER, i felt sick 24/7. it was such a relief to have a day of feeling halfway decent today.
i took the IV out today after giving myself a liter. i needed to shower, and felt a little unsafe with it in my hand and handling my dogs, etc. god forbid it got infected and i had to go back to the ER... how would i explain that it was "accidentally" left in my hand... i didn't want to get the doc in trouble...
i'm with you about water. it's the WORST drink for me right now. gatorade is a little sickening at times... but that is what i drank today and it stayed down.

I had some days. Its been a long time for me. I had even some weeks where I go go a week with just some nausea and then a week of throwing up constantly again.
Try Gatorade warm too. I cant drink anything too cold.
And I can only stomach certain flavors too. Try to mix it up if you need to, find what works.
I feel for you. Hang in there. I hope it gets easier! Usually once your not dehydrated you feel better.

Re: spent all of yesterday in the emergency room
I was violently sick from m/s and ended up in the ER also..I was admitted for 2 days because I was so dehydrated. They ended up putting a permanent IV line in my arm and I had a nurse come to my house weeky to change the line and this went on for about 2 months and I gave myself IV treatments 2 x's a day.
From the minute they started the IV in hospital I felt 100x's better and just got better from that point on...
I hope the same goes for you....
Feel better
ETA: I also was giving myself Zofran via IV..if your dont get better, I suggest you speak with your doctor about giving yourself IV treatments at home~ I was able to work with it..it isnt as bad as it sounds~
