Spent the day in labor & delivery!
I swear, having a baby and all the "what ifs" and possible complications can drive you to drink! (Or at least want to drink.)
I go for weekly non-stress tests for monitoring and had a sonogram today. They told me that my fluid was high and they wanted to monitor me some more. At the end, the nurses said that I was contracting, and that the baby's heartbeat was dropping at the end of the contractions. The next thing I know the perinatologist is calling my OB and I'm being told to head over to Good Sam for additional monitoring.
I was all alone and utterly terrified. Thankfully my brother was off and showed up at the hospital and DH made it from Queens to W. Islip in record time. I wound up being monitored for about 4 hours and they said I had some more contractions, but that the baby's heartbeat did not drop again.
Hopefully it was just a fluke thing at the peri's office and it won't happen again. I felt like I was having a heart attack today worried that our LO was coming sooner than expected. Amazing how a weekly non-stress test turns into the most stressful day I've had in forever!

IM glad you and LO are ok and home relaxing now.
I know exactly how u felt, being fine and dandy one minute and scared as sh!t for the safety of u little one the next.

Glad you and LO are both ok! That is a scary situation on it's own, but even scarier when you're alone. Glad your DH made it there quickly though!

Sounds like you had a day and a half. Thankfully LO is good and hopefully you're right, that this was just a fluke.
