Spider Season???
Over the last week or so I have seen/removed a handful of spiders inside the house. Is there such a thing as spider season? I want to get an exterminator ASAP, but my DH thinks I'm nuts.
Is it only me? Has anyone else noticed spiders/insects inside?

Not sure but I wouldn't get an exterminator for spiders unless they are like tarantula sized or poisonous or something.
Spiders actually eat a ton of other pests like mosquitoes, roaches, clothes moths, earwigs etc

Spiders are the devil....the stories I could tell. I'm like a magnet.
With that said - I've spoken to exterminators and they have told me to save my money. That there is not much they can do. Where I used to live there was trees all over our neighborhood, on our property. They lived in those trees and would drop down. Sweet Jesus...there were times I stayed in the car because they were on my front door or on my porch with this huge web... no... LOL
I did have neighbors that religiously sprayed their trees in the Spring and Fall and they said it helped, but I can't say for sure.
I was advise to cut back my trees, specifically the ones hanging over my house and stay on top of leaves and pruning, etc.
We also sealed the hell out of our house and that helped. Meaning we put on all new windows, siding, etc. The previous owners had cedar shingle siding and OMG they lived in there under each plank.
People will say Oooo spray Peppermint essential oils, but that didn't work for us. If anything it seemed to keep the ones that were inside...inside. LOL It was as if they couldn't get out of the house.

I have sticky traps for cave crickets... I always feel bad when the spiders end up on them. I know I am weird.
I don't kill spiders and always put them outside when I trap them.
I just hate crickets...

Haha I lol’d at feeling bad that the spiders are on the sticky trap. I get excited when that happens. Like a 2 for 1! Haha. The cave crickets are terrible!!! We had to take out our deck because they were breeding under it. Our problem is almost all solved with a patio.

I HATE the cave crickets in the basement. So gross!
We also use the glue traps and it works.
