Spin Bike Questions
Ok, Im not in class but my gym has a
spin bike along w/reg ones. How long
do you ride w/out sitting? Do you do
intervals? If so how long? How long are
the sessions (class)?
Thanks!

Re: Spin Bike Questions
When I did spin the classes were 1 hour. 10mins warm up and then 1 minute intervals standing and sitting, then the instructor would build us up to 5 mins standing etc. sometimes we did 30 mins standing sat a couple mins and would finish the class standing.
Every instructor is different and you really have to build up if you've never spun before. It is really a workout. Looove it.

I like it too. I stand most of the time and sit for a min to rest and drink water (Im still pedeling) so far I can do 30 min.(this morning was my 3rd day) so I think I can build up to 45 then 1 hr..
thanks!

Re: Spin Bike Questions
I looooooove it. Addicted is more like it. The classes I take are either 45 min or an hour depending on the instructor.
I've been spinning for about 6 years now and every instructor is different as to what they do during the course of a class. It's all a combination of different jumps, in the saddle, out of the saddle, hills, sprints, hillsprints...etc...I ride on Real Ryder bikes now and they actually move with you, so we do a lot of turns in and out of the saddle. You are working 30% more with these bikes. It's pretty crazy.
