Spin Bike vs. Elliptical
Im thinking about getting either a spin bike or an elliptical for my house. Which would you prefer for the house? What are the pros and cons of each? Do you find one workout is better than the other?
One con I am concerned about is, if I get a spin bike, Id need to specifically have time to put in a spin DVD to go along with it for a workout, not so much for the elliptical. Since I plan on putting it in the den, Id have to wait for some free TV time to be able to do the spin.

Spin Bike vs. Elliptical
I'd prefer the spin bike. You just need music. When the tempo is high keep the resistance lighter and move fast. On slower songs crank that tension and climb!

I always feel I get a much better workout on a spin bike, but I go to classes and push myself harder with others around me.
As for elliptical, I think it would be good too, I just don't think it's as amazing of a workout as some people say. Running and cycling are more strenuous activities and at least for me, my heart rate gets much higher running or cycling vs. elliptical.

Spin bike definitely! If you do some research on the elliptical you will find many experts who say it is the most ineffective exercise.

Spin bike definitely. I do not think the elliptical does much.
You can always put the spin DVD into your computer and put it near the bike, while other watch TV.
