spin off to my glider questions: What color/features to look for?
I am going to test some out soon (when my 2 year old gets over the flu )
the black wooden gliders don't seem as common, if I can't find one, do you think a dark espresso would work?
Also, what should I look for in them. I want a thick cushion and I see in some reviews that is a common complaint.
Any recs on onces not over $300!!!!
TIA!

Re: spin off to my glider questions: What color/features to look for?
I think black would be the best match, but the dark espresso would probably look good too....that color looks almost black anyway.
I don't really know what to look for since I haven't used mine much yet. I like the thickness of the cushion and the cushions on the chair arms. I also like that I can lock it in place, so little fingers don't get caught in there, when that time comes. Mine also has pockets on both sides, which I think will be helpful when BF'ing.

Re: spin off to my glider questions: What color/features to look for?
I don't have a wooden glider, I bought an upholstered one, but I made sure it reclined and I could put my feet up since I am not getting an ottoman. To me the most important feature was comfort, which was the cushioning and layout.
Also, some things I noticed when I sat in the gliders - wooden and upholstered, were - how high up i was sitting and whether my feet were touching the ground when I sat back, the bar in the wooden would sometimes hit the back of my leg, and also, sometimes the seats would feel narrow. I didn't want to feel the slightest bit uncomfortable when sitting in this chair.
Good luck on your search!!
