spin off to potty training
How many of you use the little potty that you can place anywhere in your house? CUrrently I only have a seat that goes on top of the toilet. I was thinking about getting a potty because Sara loves being naked lately, I thought this might help her in toilet training. I didnt use one with my son - I just went straight for the toliet seat.

Re: spin off to potty training
With my 1st ds I just had the little seat that went on the big potty, with my 3yr old now I had a kid potty and he wanted nothing to do with it so I threw it away now he just goes on the big potty and when we're out he stands on the public potty so he doesn't have to touch anything.

Re: spin off to potty training
My son trained on the little potty. He would sit on the big potty forever and do nothing. Then he would do peepee here and there for months but I was never pushing anything just going with flow and I wasn't ready.
When we started training, we tried the little potty and sure enough he took to it. We used it for a week following him around the house with it and little by little moved it closer and closer to the bathroom and then eventually into the bathroom. After 2 weeks, he we was trained and started using he real toilet with an insert. Worked well for us. Gross but it worked.
