Spin off to Seaseme Place
I want to take DS so bad but DH seems to think I am nuts for wanting to go 9 months PG. I am 32 weeks now and feel great and try to take daily walks that are between 1.5 and 2 miles each walk. I have never been and don't know how much walking is involved. From pictures I have seen it doesn't look like alot for the water park but I could be wrong. Now I told DH that if we do not go while I am pg I want to go after the baby is born in August and then he thought I was even craizer (baby would be about at least 4-5 weeks old). I really want to take him somewhere before she arrives. Am I being unrealistic here?

Yes you are being unrealistic IMO. Sesame Place is overcrowded most days and you will be miserable there at nine mos pregnant. I would never take a 4-5 week old baby their either. What would you do with her? She is too little for the attractions. I would be worried about getting coxsackie as well. My ped. told me to avoid public pools when she is this little.

I would go at 9 months. If you go during the week there shouldn't be a problem. It's not that big of a place. I would rather go before the baby.

I never thought about coxsakie...so I guess it will not be after the baby.
Is it still crowded durning the week before schools are out becuase that is when I wanted to go?

I went in the summer on a Tuesday. I thought it was the best day to go. I honestly think it won't be to bad before school it over.

Re: Spin off to Seaseme Place
Its not that much to walk- but Im not sure I would go... and I DEF. would not take a 5 week old baby there..
I would wait until after baby is born, get a babysitter and take DS on a "special" big boy trip!
(and trust me- Im not one of those girls who feel you cant do anything 9 months PG - 3 weeks before I had Ryan I went to MD and walk the entire Inner Harbor!)

Re: Spin off to Seaseme Place
I think you will be okay going there. Your little one is still not old enough to be going on all the rides, so you will probably stay where the kiddie water areas are...I think he would love it there. Since you won't be going on all the rides, you won't be walking that much. You mention you walk as it is about 2 miles a day, so I think you will be fine. I wouldn't go with a 5 wk old. The baby wouldn't be able to do anything and the sun/the heat would be too much, in my opinion. Take advantage now and have a great time.

Another thing to think about is if you go into labor early and you are a couple of hours away from the hospital. That could be an issue. I was a month early, so it can happen when you least expect it.

Re: Spin off to Seaseme Place
I am planning to go to either Sesame or Dutch Wonderland (still deciding - I want sesame for the characters but think early June will be too cold for all the water activities) when I am about 31 weeks. I wanted to take my son before baby #2 comes and then we'll have to wait until next year (I am due AUgust and can't not comfy bringing an infant to something like that). I personally think that isn't bad for 30-34 weeks.
I talked to my dr about early labor and being far from home (plans for another trip). I went in labor at 37 weeks last time and had false labor at 33/34 weeks. She said at 33/34 she will start being skeptical about it *they are going to start my internals at 32 weeks) but if I want they can do an internal that week and if nothing is going on - I am free to go (as long as nothing comes up between now and then)....so I am trying to do sesame before I hit that mark.
