Spin-off to teacher gifts
If your class moms collect for a end of year gift from the class, do you get them something in addition to that?

Re: Spin-off to teacher gifts
Yes... I bought my Dd teachers a wrist key chain from an etsy seller:
jimmypickles
I am also going to get her something else (don't know what yet) only b/c this was her first year as a 4th grade teacher and I think she did a pretty good job.
For the bus driver I usually get scratch offs-not that you asked.

Yes, something small, like less than $20, along with a note of thanks....

Yes. Usually something small with a hand written thank you note and a picture DS drew for them.

Yes always, along with a thank you note from me. Except for this year there will be no note. There's nothing to thank her for.

Yes, I do. Something small, but I love them and they work so hard with Ava that I feel like they should have a little something just from Ava.

uh oh - that does not sound good...
I feel horrible because if there was a class gift, I usually didn't get a separate one. They do usually make a card with pictures though.

Re: Spin-off to teacher gifts
I gave a separate gift to his teacher at Christmas time as well as chipped in for the class gift. Damien's teacher is currently on maternity leave so I will just chip in for the leave replacement. She will only be with the kids for 2 months.

Re: Spin-off to teacher gifts
Normally I do. One year my son had a horrible teacher and I didnt. This year both of my sons teachers deserve above and beyond . My 5th graders teacher got them through the death of a classmate so much better then I ever could have imagined. She was a saint through it all she really was and my 4th graders teacher handled my son and his baseball teamates ( very active) so well! I am not sure what to do but It will be more then I have ever done in the past
