Spin-off to teething...
Ok, so what should I be looking for? DD is a drool monster, constantly gnawing on her hands and sucking fingers and I see the white dots.
Does this all mean something?

yes, it means she is teething
If you see white dots, it only took dd 1 week for her to sprout her first tooth after seeing those dots.....

According to one of my books, the white dots aren't always teeth, they can be cysts on the gums that go away too.
DS is a teething mess too....I feel your pain (their pain really)

Ped warned me not to be surprised if there are small drops of blood near him in the AM, as it can happen when they teethe.
