spinning off the metformin/clomid questions-

Should I have asked my Dr. to give me both? She only prescribed me the met and said she wanted to see how I did after three months on it and then we would reevaluate.
I am just worried it is not going to work and then I will have wasted another three months.
I already wasted almost three months when my old dr. told me it was normal to go over 40 days without AF.

I was all ready to be prescribed Metformin today at my doc appt. Instead, me prescribed Clomid and a low-dose steroid Dexamethasone. I was prepared to ask to try Clomid alone before the Metformin, but I guess he decided differently. I'm happy with the plan, as I prefer to see if the Clomid would work on its own before trying the Metformin. I was just really worried about the gastrointestinal side effects of Metrromin.
