Honestly I feel like some women expect to be complimented on a regular basis but really don't return the favor.. at least not as often.
Sometimes I have to remind myself to - I used to do it alot more often.

yup! I compliment him all the time actually. I dont really put an effort into it- but i think its a big part of my personality- even when i see random people in the elevator or on the street, if i like something of theirs, i always tell them... and i do the same with DH- wether its him looking good, or cooking a meal thats delicious.... i always make a point of letting him know

My DH does quite often. Actually, since we have been PG its actually more. He always touches my belly and tells me how beautiful I look. He is just too sweet!

I do, all the time. He doesn't handle it well though. He always says something negative about himself after I do. It's very sad and I don't know where that comes from.

Not as much as when we were first married, but I gotta tell you that a day doesn't go by, even if we are angry with each other, that we don't say "I love you." I think that's the most important thing in the world. Compliments are compliments, but letting your partner always know you love them is extremely important.

hmmmmm I dont agree with that!!!! Compliments make a person feel good and sexy and wanted. Just saying I love you doesnt cut it. Some people just get into the rut and habit of just saying I love you- but you have to wonder - do they mean it- are they just saying it to say it- are they saying it b/c its a habit- I think compliments say a lot more than just saying I love you.
edited to say I think the compliments keep the spice in the relationship than just saying I love you.

Same here. I love random compliments from strangers so I try to do that as well. And who says men don't have feelings. I love telling DH a good thing. He deserves it!

all the time. We really appreciate, respect, and don't take eachother for granted and I enjoy telling him what I am thinking and feeling for him, as much as I enjoy hearing it from him!
