spinoff - how is the C-Section recovery for big fat cry babies?
if you had a c-section and you're a pansy , how long did it take you to recover and what would you recommend? my bff yesi is a big cry baby () so anything you can advise for a quick and speedy recovery would be so FAB!

you just have to get up and move. it'll hurt the first few times getting out of bed at the hospital but you HAVE to do it. Tell her to just get out of bed. She'll probably be wearly of washing the staples/wound but use mild soap and luke warm water. It'll make all the difference.

Hit that morphine button!
Honestly, it's not that bad. I was so nervous to have a vag birth and wound up with a c. I was knocked out during it so I can't say what it's like during the surgery, but recovery isn't so bad. Plus, I had to recover from the anesthesia, which wasn't easy.
Get up and walk around. DH would take walks with me around the hospital. Once I got home it went faster. Hardest part in the gas pain. You can always take something and take it easy

Take the meds! Get up as soon as they allow you.

Ooh, also tell her to take the mylicon. If they don't offer it, ask for it. She'll be afraid to pass gas because of the staples/stiches. The mylecon will help!!!

Painkillers! It was very painful for me...I'm definitely a pansy. I would suggest not having to go up and down stairs a lot and if you can figure out a place to sleep where it is comfortable to get out of bed every time the baby cries...we have a high mattress and it felt like I was dying every time I had to jump down from mattress to floor.

As soon as they'll allow her she HAS to get up and move. It's a b1tch, but you gotta do it. To be honest, my recovery was nothing, but I may be lucky in that sense. Take the drugs, take them. But def move as soon as they let you.

DITTO. thats really you have to do. Take the meds at the prescribed times and move move move asap. I was walking with tears in my eyes, but it does speed up the recovery.
