Spinoff again: Did your first birthday invites include the address, or was that a separate piece of paper?
Almost all of our guests are from OOT. (we are not from LI) On our baptism invite we had the address to the party. Do we just have a nice invite with the address and directions on a separte sheet or put the address on the invite with a separate sheet for directions? TIA!

Kell, we put our address on the invite & didn't have to send directions b/c most are familiar w/ where we live or they can google. If you have to give directions, I'd make up a card & include it in w/ the invite.

the full address is on our invite...don't think I'm sending direction cards because 99% of the guest list lives local. Your situation sounds different though. You probably should do a separate cards for OOT'ers. Then you really don't need the full address on the invite. Just the name of the place.

I'm not a big fan of a lot of paper in an invite. I usually include my directions on the back of the invite if I'm printing them myself. That way they only have to worry about one piece of paper with all of the info.
for example. The invite will read, centered:
The Mill Pond House 437 East Main Street Centerport (see reverse for directions) <- small font
I don't write New York on invites because everyone usually lives here & it's doubtful I'm throwing it in Wisconsin.
If I lived OOS, I would then write New York.

I just put the address on the invite - all the people are family and close friends so they have all been to my parents home - if they needed directions they can either google it or call me. I would have put it on a separate sheet with directions however if we were doing a larger party at a restaurant or catering location

Same as the others - put the address on the invite. Everyone has been here before - and if they haven't - that's what Mapquest is for!
