Spinoff: Do you believe in Ghosts or an Afterlife?

Thought this would be fun - there seems to be differing opinions.

Do you believe in ghosts or spirits? that there is another "world" after death? in alien life? in UFOs? Why or why not? Have you had any experiences that have changed your mind? Do you believe in premonitions?

I was a skeptic for most of my life until my teenage years when I had a scary experience - once when I heard a 3rd voice while I was arguing with my mom in the kitchen, and another scary experience when my cousin died as a result of a hit and run accident while he was visiting relatives overseas. That same night, I had a dream of a blue car being involved and it wasnt until years later, that my aunt received the actual Police Report that showed eyewitnesses that said a blue car sped down the street and when it hit him, it just drove on. I was the only person in my family that said it was a blue car.

Anyone else?

I have always believed in ghosts and afterlife. Not so sure about UFOs though.

Technically, a UFO is anything flying that you can't identify....

I don't believe aliens have visited the Earth, but I definitely believe they exist. Mathematically, it's difficult to believe that we're the only rock in the universe that had the right set of circumstances to have some type of life.

I don't believe in the afterlife. It immediately negates several major religions, and even conflicts with religions that agree on an afterlife.

I'm not religious, so I don't believe in any of the religious aspects of an afterlife, but I also can't logically wrap my head around an afterlife of any type. To me, it just makes no sense.

Yea the UFO thing is iffy, but after seeing so much evidence published by MUFON and the shows from UFO Hunters, and the testimony from former Air Force Pilots around the world since the 1950s/1960s about aircraft flying at ridiculous rates of speed around their planes - I now think differently. So I do think that we ARE being visited by aliens/UFOs on a daily basis but because the media doesnt have any explanations for it, those stories get buried. (and the gov't covers it up, much like they still claim the Roswell crash was really an air balloon.. ).

As to the afterlife, I think Edward Caycee mentioned something about how we will one day learn that our DNA (our = human beings) was manipulated early on by other beings - and that we were really still "children" on planet Earth in comparison to other Galaxies..that we have 3 dimensions but wont realize our "full" potential until we learn about the 5th dimension where we die and our souls gravitate toward the stars as energy.

This "theory" seems to have some validity based on those Out of Body/Near Death experiences cited by people about dying and feeling their soul leave their bodies, and then be swished outside Earth toward some mysterious light...

I find it all pretty fascinating!

I'm not sold on UFO's, maybe because I've never seen one, but I def believe in ghosts and an afterlife. I have seen a lot of things in my life that make me a believer.

It's mathematically impossible that life doesn't exist in other galaxies. I can't see what I think are these hyper intelligent beings wanting to interact with us though.

Ghosts and afterlife...who knows. We'll all find out eventually.

I do believe in ghosts and the afterlife and experienced this when my one DD starting talking to and seeing her great-grandfather whom she never met and who passed away over 10 yrs ago.....
