spinoff from Marissa's when did dr determine you were having a c-section?

Just curious, my dr hasn't even talked about this or vaginal birth..

I would seriously discuss this. If your doctor is anti-VBAC you need to know so you can find a new doctor. Also if you are expecting a repeat c/s and your doctor does not believe in those you need to know that as well.

Is this your first or second? It was determined I needed the c-section after about 8-9 hours of labor. The baby's heart rate was plummeting during the contractions and not recovering and none of the other interventions helped the situation.

My doctor and I did not talk about c/s at all; however, you can be sure it will be my first point of discussion during my next pregnancy.

Im guessing you already have a child that was delivered via c/s? My daughter was a c/s birth due to her being breech. We had the discussion at my first visit this time around. Definitely have the conversation ASAP. My OB thinks Im a great candidate for a VBAC since I had a vbirth already with my son and all was good but I know they needed to file paperwork by the end of the first trimester if I was definitely having a repeat c/s. HTH

We had the discussion after 10 hours of labor. I said...."A C-SECTION???" and he said....or you could wait 10 more hours. I had the c-section that moment...
