Spinoff from my post-have a question

Do you use your carseat on the airplane? Matteo's 2 1/2 and we were going to use it. He likes being in the car and doesn't mind the carseat so figured it may make for a smoother plane ride (HOPEFULLY)

We never have.

Last summer when we went away, DS was 15 months, we didn't buy him a seat, but he got one each way. We checked our carseat in a laundry bag that said our last name across it. He sat nice in the seat and watched a DVD.

I am taking him to Italy and I plan on doing the same thing.

Re: Spinoff from my post-have a question

We are going to use it for his first plane ride when he is 18 months. We decided to buy him a ticket because we were nervous he wouldn't get a seat and there is no way he'd sit on our laps. And, we have to rent a car as soon as we land, so we want the carseat.

Re: Spinoff from my post-have a question

Since the carseat is the safest way for DC to travel on a plane, we've always used their carseat, and purchased their own tickets. Even last year, when DS was 4, we still had him in a carseat.

When DC were flying under 2yo, we also bought them a seat, since we didn't want to risk them sitting on our laps. It's too dangerous.

Since we usually end up renting a car on our trips, we bring their carseats along...... Haven't been on a trip in some time, but we are flying in both March and again in May, so these are good points for me to think about.

We do. Carlie laso doens't mind her carseat. I feellike it keeps her contained and is someting familiar. She LOVES flying!
