Spinoff from NFR - Do you buy nail polish?
I can't remember the last time I bought a bottle of nail polish. I mean a high gloss top coat yes - because I feel like when I put that on a few days after I get a mani it lasts longer. But I never buy a bottle of colored polish, I just pick what I want at the nail place...
Although I will say, if I think about it to long.. I kinda get grossed out thinking about a bottle being used on someone else's toes is being used on my hands..

I just recently starting buying the nailpolish at the salon - especially if I am going away - so when it inevitably chips in 4 days, I can redo them

ALWAYS.
I bring my own polish to the salon...that way if I chip it, I always have the color at home or with me when I travel.

Sometimes..like a similar color that I get often at the salon...to touch up a manicure if I cant make it or an occasional manicure I give to myself.

I'm a complete p*tz about giving myself a manicure.. so I NEVER even touch up.. I'll just go and get a color change...
Hmm, this may be a problem.. I think I've found a new thing to buy... how much is nail polish? I don't even know..

I buy them b/c i"m such a putz I mess them up before I even leave the nail place most of the time. Its not that expensive for me b/c I only rotate b/w a few polishes that are my staples. There is a store below my office building that sells all the Essie/OPI products for $4.

Depends.....Essie/OPI can run around $5 and up. Ya know..the stuff they have at salon.
Revlon, Sally Hanson,Loreal sells polish and I have bought them a few times...a little cheaper and work just as good.
ETA: And Avon has polish...some raves on them too.

I started giving myself manicures for a few years and only go to get them done a few times a year. So yes I buy polish but I have only about 10 shades.

OPI is $7.50 and Essie is $6 (at Ulta)......however I've never bought them at full price. I've gotten quite a few free too.

I used to have over a hundred bottles. I tossed a lot of the gross ones, so now I have about 30. But I'm not loving the colors, so yeah, I'll be getting some more!

I buy Essie nail polish. LOVE that brand!
I do my own nails sometimes. I love E. Hampton Cottage, Angel Food and Fiji. I am not that great at applying it, so I stay away from dark colors

Double Ditto - however, with all the colors I have bought, I can honestly say that I've almost never had to use them.

I always buy my own and bring it to my fill-ins
I usually get them at Ulta or CBS...i always look for the new colors. Avon has some really beautiful colors!!
