Spinoff: Has anyone become a vendor on etsy or know anyone that has?

I have never checked out etsy until today and realized my friend's work would be perfect on there. Is it like ebay where anyone can post something? Do you need to become an official vendor? Does it cost? She is from Georgia, so she is always looking to expand her clients.

once you sign up with the site you can be a vendor. you don't have to pay a cost up front, they take a portion. i thought it was reasonable when i used to sell on there. it was super easy to set up the shop, but make sure she has fabulous pictures of her work. the better the picture, the easier the sell. also, tell her to set up a google analytics account with her etsy site so she can track what people are viewing most.
