spinoff moms that were induced for their 2nd or 3rd etc BUMP with another question!

I delivered DD vaginally in 4.5 hours I'm having minor complications this time and they want to induce me...I'm wondering if you were induced with your second child was it a harder labor did it end up with a c section etc....

My 2nd ds i was induced with cervadil (2 rounds) and had pitocin. I rec'd the pitocin around 9 am and delievered after 2:30. The second baby the delievery was much quicker - first one 1.5 hours of pushing - 2nd ds 3 pushes and he was out.

Good Luck they say the 2nd baby is much easier to deliver usually.

My 2nd and 3rd inductions resulted in MUCH faster deliveries. I dilated much more quickly and pushed for less than 10 minutes for my 2nd, and only pushed once for my third.

I was induced for my first with no problems. I'm due with my second on August 12 and my doctor said at the beginning of the pg that he is more inclined to induce for a 2nd baby because there is less of a chance of needing a c-section.

i was induced with both kids. #1 was a TOUGH labor--i pushed for 5 hours.

#2 was much easier. labor was about 5 hours total. pushing was 10 minutes.

I was induced for my second, was a BREEZE compared to my first. I was 2 centimeters dilated on arrival and contracting tho. He immediately broke my water, couple rounds of pitocin, 8 hrs later, 3 sets of pushes, he was out. I'm praying for a delivery like that again.

#1 born just about 38 weeks. I was not dilated so I had to have a round of Cervidel and the Pitocin. My labor from start of Pitocin wo baby out was 9.5 hours including maybe 15 minutes of pushing

#2 born almost 39 weeks. I was dilated to 3cm so they just did Pitocin. She was 5 hours from the start of Pitocin to holding my baby. And I again had maybe 15 minutes of pushing.

I did need an episiotomy with both kids since they got stuck and my body did not stretch or tear.

fingertip at most with DC#1. With # 2 and 3, between 1-2 but nothing really..

I was 2 cm and 80% effaced.

induced with all 3....as soon as my water broke, it was all over, they were born within the hour.

I went naturally with DD and had her naturally in about 4.5 hours from first contraction till she was born. I pushed for about an hour of that 4.5 hours.

I was induced at 39 weeks with DS, and although it was an entirely different experience since I had drugs this time and everything was controlled, it was still just as fast. I think from when I got pitocin till the time he was born was about 5 hours... about 20 minutes of that was pushing.

ETA: I just saw your other question. I believe I was 3cm dilated when I was induced.

I was induced with #1 and 2. Second time around was much easier until I rec'd the pitocin. Contractions were a breeze for me so much that I didn't need any meds up to 6cm. My doc wanted my contractions to be a bit more steady so he administered some pitocin and ouch did I remember the pain! But once I was 10cm and ready to push he came out in 3 pushes. Could NOT believe it since my 1st was an 1 hour and 30 min of pushing. Be prepared for it to be much quicker!!

I was induced for both.
#1- had about 7 hours or labor and pushed for 9 minutes. I was 1-2 cm dilated when we started.

#2- had about 5 hours of labor and pushed for 6 minutes. I progressed faster with #2. I was 2-3 cm when we started.

I had an epi for both and didn't need a section..

Induced with my 2nd due to his low heart rate and it was very smooth.
A small dose of pitocin at 11PM and I delivered in a couple of pushes, without epi, at 3:24AM.
No complaints.
