spinoff on the grooming posts
Why do some people feel if they are not "clean" if they don't keep up with it? There is nothing dirty about having hair there, it is perfectly natural. Its only recently women started to do this, its a trend. It has nothing to do with cleanliness. If its your personal preference, thats one thing, but if you don't do it you are still clean and fresh (well as long as you are washing yourself). Doctors don't give a damn one way or another what you look like there, they have seen it all.

Im not a hair fan.. but technically the hair is there for a reason.. its a barrier to help keep out unwanted stuff.. so the idea of clean b/c your shaven is a misconception.. your probable cleaner with the hair.

I'm with you. I actually just posted a similar opinion. We get hair there for a reason!

I think it's because if you do go bare then it seems so much more "clean" due to the hair being gone. If you never do it, you don't have anything to compare it to. It's just a personal preference.

ITA. There is so many levels of what is "clean" for everyone. Full natural, hair but trimmed down, full brazilians. As long as you are comfortable in your how skin. Do as you wish?
Dr. don't care. They just deal. They give birth to babies from homeless women who never bathe.
If you have a c-section, they will shave you because they have to do an incision.

There is actually a reason we have hair down there and it is to keep "stuff" out of the vagina and Prevent infection!
I "trim" so its not so long but thats it.
I personally am not comfortable having everythign off, and I feel just as clean.
Actually when you "shave" down there you are making yourself more at risk for infection because when you shave you make microscopic cuts in the skin which can introduce infection. This is one of the main reasons why they no longer do the "mandatory shave" in hospitals for childbrith.
But hey if you like your who-ha bald then god ahead. But there is nothing wrong or unclean with not taking everythign off
